Recently, a woman of God posted the following about her weariness caused by the barrage of criticism leveled against President Donald Trump… “Feeling fed up….listen you don’t have to like or agree with the president ..but this is getting out of hand ..if the president turns his foot the wrong way it’s a major news story..the scrutiny is real ..uuugh I need a break from the criticism.. seems like now a days all people want is to feed the negativity…”

Here was my response to her:

I had to ‘weigh in’ on this post, and are a FEW of my brief assertions…

Let me say this from the ‘git-go’ – I am praying for OUR President – and have been PUBLICLY doing so on social media for the past 2 months… we need to heed 1 Timothy 2:1-2, to pray for our leaders – NOW, regardless of what some did or did not do when Obama was in office…

Secondly, I feel your pain – as I recently watched a Trump news conference on Periscope, and I was saddened by the ‘back and forth’ of comments that were in no way constructive, nor edifying…

And a couple of weeks later, when I watched Obama speak at a symposium, the SAME ‘back and forth’ vitriol of ignorance was prevalent…

Where are the STATESMEN in America? Have the masses been reduced to the rants of tabloid TV? At what level of mind and maturity are people in America functioning from?

Are we, as a nation, turning into an unthinking blob of the ‘lewd and crude’? If so, our kind of government will not continue to function effectively…

Moreover, where are the STATESMEN in the CHURCH in America?

The men and women that will courageously, and diplomatically, speak Biblical truth to POWER(S)? Having their finger on the pulse of society, and at the same time, having the MIND OF CHRIST, ready to execute justice and judgement in the PRESENT TRUTH?

One thing to remember: Trump is simply REAPING what he SOWED…

As we’ve been inDOCTRINATED & TRAINED by the ‘news cycle’ for the last 20 or so years – how quickly we seem to forget the elements of cause and effect…

For example, Trump’s continuous rant regarding the veracity (or lack thereof) of Barack Obama’s citizenship, and his constant campaign mantra of “…crooked Hilary…”

And now, his grievous words ARE STIRRING ANGER – not gracefully ameliorating it… So, in many respects, President Trump is creating his own storms…

THE MEDIA: Who’s MONITORING the MONITORS?

Just how much DISTORTION/HYPE/PROPAGANDA are we ingesting and digesting? Whether we are black or white, or anything else?

As an example, how many Evangelicals are swallowing the swill from Fox News without using any type of discriminating biblical filter?

The MSU guy’s viewpoint is understandable, yet INEFFECTIVE…

As we can whine and pine about racism, but until we’re willing to FIGHT IT – IN A GODLY FASHION, we will do little but turn that anger and frustration INWARD…

BUT – the spotlight must be kept on Trump, lest he get away with misdeeds, based upon deeply ensconced, WHITE PRIVILEGE…

For if 44 had attempted 1/3 of the crap/stuff that 45 has, the Republicans and HALF of America would’ve called for his head on a silver charger… AND WOULD’VE GOTTEN IT…

Whether we like it or not, regardless of how we try to ignore it, while we attempt to ‘float’ in the realms of the Spirit, RACISM IS REAL – and WE – the Body of Christ in America are called to DEAL WITH IT, and HEAL IT….

And, regardless of how messy politics are, the CHURCH must be ready to assume her rightful role upon the TOP of this mountain…
