What I Wish Every Millennial Would Know & Do – PART 1 | The Real John McClane What I Wish Every Millennial Would Know & Do – PART 1 – The Real John McClane

As I reflect upon the earlier days of my youth and young adulthood, there are certain admonitions that I needed to hear. Some of these I heard, most were never offered. Whether I would’ve heeded these admonitions, or not, remains to be seen. But, at least I would’ve been forewarned, and thus, forearmed…

If I were a teen, or a twenty-something, in 2017, these are some of the things I would need to hear…

Understand the LIFELONG PRINCIPLES of STEWARDSHIP…

STEWARDSHIP of your TIME…

STEWARDSHIP of your TALENTS…

STEWARDSHIP of your BODY…

STEWARDSHIP of your LOOKS…

STEWARDSHIP of your ENERGY…

And, the STEWARDSHIP of your MONEY – which leads me to my next subject…

Understand the POWER of COMPOUND INTEREST…

For example, if you save just $100 per month for 30 years, this totals $36,000 saved. If you average a 7 percent annual return on this money, the same $36,000 turns into $117,606.49 – an increase of over $81,000!

Over 40 years, the $48,000 that you saved turns into $248,551.65 – an increase of over $200,000!

And, over 50 years, the $60,000 that you saved turns into $506,140.60 – an increase of over $446,000!

BUT – if you violate the principle below, compound interest can metastasize into compounded debt…

DO NOT – I repeat – DO NOT try to keep up with the Joneses, the Smiths, or anyone else. Do your best to avoid all forms of unnecessary consumer debt. This will put you in a position to take advantage of the previous principle – the power of compound interest…

Another way to use the ‘compound interest’ principle – LEVERAGE every experience, every job, every relationship. Let ALL THINGS work TOGETHER for your good… And – don’t waste your challenges, pain, and trials either!

Next, read as many autobiographies of accomplished people as possible – for the purposes of inspiration, encouragement, experience by osmosis, and because history DOES repeat itself…

While you’re gleaning inspiration from all of the great people that you’re reading about, use this inspiration to motivate you to eliminate all of the ‘knuckleheads’ from your life, with your eyes on your present and future…

STAY TUNED FOR PART 2…
